hey guys. I owned a single 12" a year ago. Now i'm looking to buy something for my teg. I drive a 94.
I have been to a few places, but they won't let me listen to the sub+box i want; They only let you listen to the best they have, and they don't do returns, they do upgrades. Anyways, I trust you guys more than a sales man.
I'm looking to spend around $400 maybe up to $700. I have a sony xplod radio, if that makes any difference. I would still like to use my trunk and not weigh my teg down too much.
If you have a sub and were very satisfied with your setup, please post it.

*edit* i upped my price range because I will need new speakers too.

As long as you go with quality then you shouldnt have an issue, alpine and pioneer are among the most recognised brand names, i'm sure if you google reviews you can find out what is crap and what is good.
I have a standard alpine 10" sub with a 500w alpine amp and I cant hit rock bottom with it, this setup cost around $700 and i couldnt be happier with it.

I have an Alpine type r 12 and a MB Quart 1000 watt monoblock amp and am pretty happy with it! It ran me 500 but it can probably be had for cheaper but I didn't shop around.

would the first amp preform better than the second? Or does it not make a difference because the speaker already has maximum power from both?
