Shifting Problems.

Alright, so, I'm no mechanic, and i'm really hoping this is nothing serious, but yesterday, it was shifting into first with no problem, just sliding in without a problem, but i noticed yesterday that i put it into third, and in a few seconds, after letting go of the clutch and pressing the gas, when i started going, it popped back into neutral. This morning when i started the car up, it went into reverse perfectly fine, and then i went to pop it into 1st, and it wouldn't stay in 1st. well, it wouldn't really even go into first, and when i was moving the clutch around a little, trying to get it to go into first, it wouldn't go. so i let it got, then i went into 2nd and just started off into 2nd gear, and took off, i slowed down, tried to pop it into 1st. It took a few pushes and it actually popped into 1st. then i dropped it to 2nd, then 3rd, and had a little trouble with 3rd, but it is a LOT easier than first. Could this be due to a lack of fluids in the transmission? or what? what is your input?
Thanks to all that post.

The 3rd gear pop out sounded like my problem awhile back ago, but it was a bad syncro. Not sure about older integra's though

MAKE'em SAY UUUHHhhhhh...
if you are going to try to replace the syncros in the tranny....you will have to go after market on that, unless a dealership has in stock as N.O.S. . Honda / Acura ( TO MY KNOWLEGE ) only sell the syncros in set with the gear itself that you trying to replace. I would first drain the fluid out and inspect it to see if there is anything out of place, like debree or fine metal fragment ect ect there will be some fine metal hair in the drain pulg so dont freak out. You can go to a GM dealership and put GM syncro mesh in it. From what I heard this helps out but not alot to the point to where it fixes the issue you are having now. either way I hope you will resolve the issue you are having, Maybe look for a used unit. Call Steve @ HMOTORS to see if he a good one laying around or search your local yards and internet classifieds. Good luck buddy.....

Thanks for the help, I honestly just need to put the money in, to replace the whole clutch in the first place, and as i'm doing that, i'll attempt to get some synchromesh. The bearing in my clutch is going bad, i hear it as it idles, and when i push in the clutch it's gone, but comes back afterwards. So, I need to fix the synchro problems, fix the clutch problems...annnd, not much else i can think of right now, those are main priorities. Hopefully that will be all I need, I heard Double Clutching will make it a lot easier on the tranny for now. So i'll just be driving it like that, since it's my daily driver for now as well. Lol
