it only happens occasionally. i thought at first it was just me letting out of the clutch to soon cause when i was going slow thats usually what would happen. i know alot of people hate street racing but i have done it a few to many times. i have never been to a track. i usually find my self n a situation where i get the erge to spank the retards that think i have a slow car cause its a 4cyl r other honda n acura owners thinking cause i have body damage that my car will run like shit. to the people that hate street racing im not gloating about it i need to stop. thats why i said when im racing it kinda just happens. not like im going to the track to see what i will run with a messed up tranny. thanks for the help im going to look around n see what i can find

if your synchros are bad then stop being on it, once you start grinding it is only going to get worse until the gear completely goes out, just replace your synchros or depending what type of trans you have it'll probably be cheaper to just buy a new one

pretty simple. there is a little tag on it just the left of the id tag on the engine which is a little 1"x1" flat square just to the left of the exhaust manifold.

your tag will say something like S1-1061830 Which in turn means its a S1 transmission. the other numbers will be the serial number.

Just buy something called GM Syncromesh...I had the same problem with my tranny at 130xxx. Once I put this tranny oil in it never grinded ANY gear since then and now im at 178xxx. Basically this oil helps and fix "AT TIMES" your grinding issue if its not to far gone.

I get that exact same problem on third as well. My tranny also grinds when I put it on reverse. It just happens when I turn it on. I usually pump the clutch a couple of times and then place it on reverse and it wont grind then. Is it possible that bad synchros cause that too??
