I'm making a shift knob in metal shop and I need to know the diameter of the hole, and the thread count for tappin the hole. Does anyone know the right sizes?

I would take a stock oem shifter into the shop with ya.....
OR take a tape measure to the shifter in the car (after unscrewing the shift knob), also maybe having various nuts with you to test the threads and the actual diameter of your own shifter(I wouldnt take info like that from others due to the fact that they might have something different{shifter} than you..)

This is what it will look like, I may put a bit more of a bevel on the bottom of it if I get bored on the lathe lol

its 10mmX1.5

that doesnt look like it will comfortable on your hand to me...

i made this in about 15 minutes after my class one day...fits perfect in my hand

wasnt bad at all. it just scratched up easy because its aluminum
however i prefer a 2" ball with a 4" extention(no homo)...both 303 steel

keep us posted on what you come up with
