Shift knob question

my new 99 gs coupe has a skunk2 knob and i believe a skunk2 double bend short shifter. i tend to be a little bit ocd and it bothers the hell out of me that the gearbox pattern on the top of the knob doesn't line up at all.

is there anyway to fix this?

like the picture on the end is off? Im confused on what your asking...post some pix please?

should be able to tighten or loosen the knov just a bit to square it up

yes the picture is off. but its almost a half a turn off so loosening it that much lets it spin around while i drive

there is a nut at the bottom of the knob if it is a skunk2. loosen the nut, turn the knob to desired position, tighten nut
