the center part. the fans or whatever you call it.

If it's got shaftplay, that will be able to wiggle around.

so it needs shaftplay in order to boost the car?

No. You don't want shaftplay. Shaftplay indicates a blown turbo, or worn turbo.

When I say wiggle around, i don't mean spinning. It should always spin. But it should not be able to move side-to-side.

Depends. It's probably a replica turbo, so the quality isn't going to be the Best, but honestly, it would probably hold up a for awhile as long as your not going to push too much psi on it...

And $120, even for a replica isn't that bad a price either.

Shaft play uses indicates excessive bearing wear in the CHRA. It can eventually cause the turbo to wear out the seals and burn oil and/or coolant. It can also cause the compressor or turbine wheel to hit the housing, destroying the turbo. I'd be skeptical of buying a used turbo. What turbo is it?

well i have stock internals and my motor is a B18A non vtec ls besides a MIMO short ram intake so if i do use it ill only push like 5psi only on weekends and fridays...(after i learn how to take it off and put it on)

It's a t3/t4 turbo he said he hasnt put it on any of his vehicles...

Thats exactly what I do. I'm only pushing 4.7psi and it's pretty quick. But we don't take it off.

All you need to know is:

Shaftplay is like a dirty hooker with AIDS, you don't want it.

Not really. You basically just swap the turbo manifold for the headers, and then plug your BOV & wastegate lines, and put a filter on your intercooler piping for your intake.
