separating headlights

has anyone here removed lights and put them in the oven to take the lens off? i need to know how hard was it? and what temp do you put it at?and about how long did it take to melt?

My dad did when he replaced his turn signals with smoked, but I couldn't tell you anything about it except that you use aquarium sealant to put it back together.

Nobody Listens To Me
we split my tail lights to take out the pink in em.

put them in the oven (take all bolts and lights out first) at 170 degrees and let it chill there for 20 minutes. and then pryed them apart. be sure to clear off all the old glue and put new stuff in, or you wont get a good seal

well, my headlights leek water. so i need to re-seal them. and also i can remove any oxidizing of the light this way! or like some people take out a piece of the colored plastic and go clear corner and stuff.
