Second Stock Run in the DA!

Maybe some of you remember my last post. I ran my DA completely stock with just an exhaust and my e.t's were
1st pass was 16.21 with a 2.500 60ft. trapped at 85.39

2nd pass was 16.19 with a 2.549 60ft. trapped at 85.93

3rd pass was 16.14 with a 2.464 60ft. trapped at 85.86


Since then I installed a Aem cai. So before I went today I replaced my spark plugs with Denso Iridium's ($36.00 wtf!).
But needless to say I know those plugs work better than the ngk's I had in there.
So I had two crap passes tonight

1st crap was 16.14 2.695 60ft. trapped at 87.69
2nd crap was 16.10 2.642 60ft. trapped at 87.66

Both of those runs were crap due to I had water on my tires from the stupid burnout box. At Atco you cant go around the water box.

My BEST run of the night was.....

15.71 with a 2.376 60ft and trapped at 88.24

Needless to say I'm pretty happy with my 186,000 mile original motor breaking into the 15's....
Next step will be my header then ys1 trans...

Hey, it's faster than mine!! or maybe not. I think mine is a 14 donno never ran her.

nah i doubt im faster than yours... not yet anyway lol eventually i want to get into the mid to low 14's with this motor

yea i thought the same about my ls....that fastest i cut was a 14.9 at 93 with a 2.1 60'


your gonna spend a lot of money getting a stock ls into the 14s.

if i get a better launch i'll be mid 15's, i figure i'll add a header, im and tb, cams, fuel pressure reg (for tuning), smaller wheels (14's), jdm b16 trans with lsd, i'm pretty sure i;ll be there... if not i'll just ls vtec it and use the b16 trans

a b16 trans will get you lo 15s right now.

yea the b16 trans w/ lsd should get me very close to 14's with no more boltons, i'm still searching for the perfect header lol
