Yeah, its a life time safty warrenty. They have to do it
I would like to believe this is true. But I am having a hell of a time finding concrete evidence of their obligation to fix the shoulder belt. Dealers deny they have to do it gratis.

I have the traditional G2 problem -- automatic seat belt decides to stay put in open position ('90 Tegger). I see the warranty that Kuchtaboy posted, I even found a PDF of the original service bulletin at another site. But it does not specifically state "automatic seat belt". I called two Acura dealer service departments in my metropolitan area, and each one says they will fix the lap belt, but that I *will* (Dealer #1) or *may* (the other dealer) have to pay for fixing the automatic shoulder belt mechanism. Price est. is $600 by Dealer #1.

I also called the national Acura Customer Service number in SoCal. The person there did not sound like he had heard about this problem before, must be a noob. He also waffled, saying to take it to a dealer to find out exactly what's wrong and then call again. On another Acura forum somebody said they got conflicting information on this topic depending upon whom they talked to at Acura US-HQ.

Does anybody have a more recent and comprehensive update on this perennial G2 problem?
