Scrape on rear bumper

Well Im starting to try to improve the exterior of my teg first, and theres a big scrape on the rear bumper,
heres a picture of it:

Anyway to fix it, short of getting it completely repainted professionally?
I'd like to have a quick fix for now, until I can get the whole car repainted later on.

Touch up paint? Rattle can? And how would i prep it before hand? Ive never tried to do any touch up work like this before.

Thanks in advance

Wet sand it with 400 grit sandpaper, make sure to feather the paint (so the surfaces flow together..no ridges). I would use a plastic primer, considering the bumper is plastic. Prime and wet sand again to a smooth surface. Use Dupli-color color matched spray paint cans. Make sure to mask off the tail light and the rest of the bumper, but try to make a large area so the overspray can help blend the new paint in. If the area is too small, you will be able to see the lines exactly where you painted.

Sorry if this is worded poorly, I'm a bit tired. Good luck.

Its actually a lot worse than it looks in the picture.. Its scraped right down to the plastic.
Could you clarify what you mean there JDM? I tried using some rubbing compound on it.. and it took away some of it, but like I said, Its scratched right to the plastic in some spots.
