had my spuercharged LS dynoed and tryed to tune yesterday....First dyno run was 151whp and 142tq @ 5psi. after leaning out the fuel, i got 166whp and 150tq. This sucks.... Only boosting 5psi because of ported head.

NOW the weirdness..... @ 6300 rpms i get a boost spike of 5psi AND LOOSE 20whp and fuel pressure jumps to 100psi. Any one ever heard of this?? WTF is goin on.

Trying to post dyno runs, but having trouble

Yea i know, im running way too rich, and it is chokeing my engine. We thing it is a bad blower or regulator. But the 166 whp is mos def fast. im hopeing for like 180-190whp,

What is your A/F ratio? That will tell you what going on with your engine. What kind of dyno did you use? Dynos cant always be trusted, there numbers will vary dyno to dyno. So there is no reason to get mad at low numbers, it could be the dyno. The most important part is to get your A/F ratio between 12 and 13:1.
What are you useing to tune with?

Moved to Engine Tech. Id guess the regulator.
probably the vaccumm isnt routed correctly, and is messing with your fuel regulator

I am guessing the spike is causing a knock somewhere which is dialing back your timing and making the car run richer

that is the first thing i thought...after we had it on the dyno, we checked the timing before, after the spike and timing stayed constant. So the timing is corect, i just have too much fuel..i actually unhooked my FMU and am no using my B&M fpr and am still running a little rich.

after the knock fades the timing starts to advance again. if you have a missing link do NOT unhook the FMU. you need that fuel to keep it from knocking.

No missing link....i was unaware that i needed one with the jackson racing kit. I was under the impression it was complete. I have not thrown any check engine lights

too rich

my 96 integ was running too rich on my a/f ratio gauge...after droppin the psi on the b&m adjustable fuel pressure regulator from 50psi wit out the vacuum hose...to 40psi (my stock)still wit out the vacuum hose on..i was still runnin too rich...n then i plug the hose back on..then it went to 30psi...i tried droppin it again..but i realized white dry..smoke..some water...(fuelNair burned turns into water) from my exhaust..indicatin too rich..then...i replaced the O2 sensor..(from header)and my integ runs better..now..n..the reason y..it was runnin too rich is ..cause the O2 was messed up..n it kept the injectors open.aight hope this help...n...no its not coolant leakage..cause i had my head gasket replaced after port n polish+valve job.

even if you did have a knock, your fuel pressure shouldnt raise up. with it being at 100 psi, thats a problem with your fuel regulator

Actually, I don' think that those numbers are that bad for 6 psi. Especially considering that JR rates their SC on an LS at ~160 whp (their numbers which are usually very high anyways) and at least one SC LS in this area makes right about that much power. If you want more power my suggestion would be to get better engine management than the fpr and that mysterious box. You should easily be able to find a few more horses if not more. What kind of head porting did you have?

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but don't Integra LS' not have a knock sensor? If ignition timing is retarded a lot, it's prolly due to the current ignition management. Which can yield a bit more power if you advance some timing, providing you know what you're doing and you have something that can control timing.

All fuel injected engines have to have a sensor that will throw a check engine light when the engine detonates....This sensor will also retard the timing as well. it may not be called a "knock sensor" but it is to the same effect. and yes Chuckie you are correct it is not called a knock sensor.

I am also looking into hondata s200 with boost. My head porting was done by inlinefour.com and the head actually only gives me 5psi with a 6psi pulley.
