Salt Water

So, im going to CSU Monterey Bay in the fall and i wont have my car with me for 6 months :cry::cry::cry: but, i will be taking it with me after the winter break (january ish) and i was wondering, with all the salt in the air is there anything i can do to my car to help prevent rust from starting? I dont want my baby girl to rust too badly and i know there probably isnt a 100% way to prevent it. Also i will be parking out in the open, no garage sadly.

if its only a short period of time..then I wouldnt worry bout it. Its not goin to rust after a short period of time. But, there is a spray that you can have professionaly put on that helps protect it against rust

I don't think you have to worry about it rusting much, unless there is some already there that you want to stop from spreading. :thumbs up

i dont think i have rust on my car at all. but some girl my mom was talking to said that she noticed rust after one semester so im a little worried but i might be blowing things out of proportion

you might be. lol so are ya worried about the car sitting around for six months or taking it to Monterey with you for school? i have a lotta buddies who live in Frisco and their cars are fine, if that makes you feel any better.

You're good then. Just remember to give the car a thorough inspection beforehand for any little rust spots you might want to touch-up. Moving or not, it's always a good idea to do that. Rust FTMFL!

but buy a car cover for it if you are worried

your car has ZERO rust. wax it, get a car cover like henson. don't worry i doubt that it will EVER look like that civic hatch. wonder if the motor fell out yet...
