rpm going crazy

ok, i've on ly had this car for three months now,but i have alot to fix. so i've noticed that when my car is warm the rpms bounce between 1500 and 2000. a guy stopped me and asked if i had that problem. i told him yea,but also told him i didn't really kno what it was. so if anyone who has had the same problem can throw me a bone please do

Hunting idle? Clean out your Idle Air Control Valve. There's about a million and a half how-to guides so just search for that. Good luck.

i have the same problem on my 3rd gen gsr i cleaned the iac and it didnt help then i replaced the iac and the idle still goes up and down between 1500 and 2000 rpm. ive noticed that if i slide my intake off and put my finger over a whole in the throttle body the idle returns to normal. idk what it is or how to fix it any tips?

i don't remember the name of that,but it sucks excess air to keep the idle at the proper rpm. if u take off the throttle bodt\y and clean that real good it should help.

could be a vacuum leak or maybe you need to adjust your idle screw

could also be a dirty throttle body
