rpm gauge problem

im am still trying to find out the reason my rpm gauge is still hoping around from number to number its far from acurate. and its kinda annoying
this started happening as soon as i installed my shift light i cliped the blue wire from the disturbitor actually i stripped it. ever since i had problems with it
can anyone help me

i think you just solved your own problem, double check that that wire isnt grounding out

what do you mean dummy term

make sure there isnt exposed wire touching anything metal (especially the chassis)

this probably wouldnt do anything, but try disconnecting the shift light and see if that's really the cause. if it still does it, could be your IAC valve. Check out: http://g2ic.com/forums/showthread.php?t=35534 there's a good write up there.

tried everything nothing work
so i guess im basically assed out unless you guys have anymore options
