Quick question, i have an apexi (purple coated) exhaust anywayy i tore a hole in it from 2 years of scapping, just wondering if the resonator has anything to do with that back pressure sound when you let off the gas, my friend has a rsx type s with a skunk 2 exhaust and when they lef off the gas at high speed in any gear theres none of that gargling sound. wondering how i can eliminate that in my car. thanks. oh and i own a dc4 rs full swap itr. thanks

You can test the theory by wrapping the hole with some exhaust or header wrap but I doubt it.

Most likely your getting the gargle sound from the resonator actually vibrating from the slowing of pressure. Had the same problem in my 3g. Just cut the resonator out and get a glasspack welded in its place.
