Ok so my header and intake have been installed and its to my understanding that you want to reset ECU after for best performance and i have these instructions
Do this when the engine is completely cool.
1: Remove the ecu fuse for about 30 mins.
2:Then reinstall the ecu fuse, and turn on the car, "DO NOT REV THE ENGINE OR GIVE IT GAS WHATSOEVER"
3:Let the car get to normal operating temperature, or until the radiator fan kicks on at least once. Then turn off the car for a few minutes.
4:Then restart the car, the ecu should be reset and the car can be driven or reved
I have a few questions about this. I have heard to start this process with your car totally warmed up at operating temp then i have heard start cold like these directions and let it get up to operating temp. Which one?
1.) Start process cold or warm?
2.) Also should i disconnect my negative battery cable? i have not done this since i got the car....(What does this even do?)
