How on gods green earth do you remove the 32mm nut holding on the cv joint? I have tried penetrating lube. I even broke an 18 inch breaker bar. So i bought an impact set. nothing is working. I am about to go buy a benzomatic torch. Have to get back to work by tuesday morning. Please help!!!

ok i got them off. used penetrating lube and heat, had to put the car back on the ground and used a better breaker bar, although i weigh 240 pounds had to bounce on the breaker bar and finally they broke. i will probably have more questions but delete the post if needed. thank you.

Lots of pb blaster. Also I think having the wheel on and the tire on the ground makes it easier; you can get to it if you remove the center cap. If it's really stuck you need at least a 1/2 breaker bar; I have a 600ft/lb gun and it can't get them off a lot of times, I end up putting a 7ft pipe on the end of the bar and getting them off that way.

Ok i do have another question. on the top of the tranny there are two hoses and a cable coming out of a round thingy. i assume there is tranny fluid in there since its is on the transmission but when i disconnected the one with the spring clamp it didn't feel like 10w30. pinched it off with vice grips but not before about a cup of fluid leaked out. also that cable going through the firewall, is that the throttle cable? how do you disconnect it? and are there three motor mounts connected to the tranny? this is becoming more and more involved the more i get into it. o for the record i have a completely stock b18a1. nothing modded yet. please help.

this looks like it is connected to the power steering pump. my haynes manual says you can disconnect the whole thing from the tranny without having to disconnect the hoses but i see no bolts. see the opening on the right is for the starter.

k i looked through club integra and located a automatic transmission removal guide although i have a manual but it should be very similar. says the same thing. disconnect the vss and leave the hoses attached. but they are only like 6 inches long, what happens to them once you decide to drop the transmission. i will pay someone to answer my questions!! and also how do you remove the shifter linkage. haynes say u slide back the boot and drive out a pin. but i cannot get the pin out. who wants money will send it via pay pal... seriously.

Thats your speedo cable, they use the power steering fluid to keep it lubricated. As for taking the trans out, well your removing a transmission, it's not a walk in the park, but it's also not rocket science. Look for a how-to online or follow the manual.
