I got all the bolts removed from the header to the head no problem But from the downpipe to the header at the bottom I am having problems. The bolts are rusted tight and i can't get enough leveredge on my socket to get it. I sprayed PB bolt buster on it to losten the rust. Still no luck. Help plz. Whats the easiest way to remove this thing and about how much power will i gain when i put this performance header on? WIll i feel a difference or notice a new sound from the car? Thanks

Why not just pop off the cat and A-pipe connection, and remove it as one whole piece?

Yeah gettin those bolts off down there are a pain.
I used a breaker bar with a crap load of extensions to reach all those bolts down there.
And sprayed pb blaster and kept knockin on it.
I found it easyer to drop the header down instead of pulling it up.

And for power depends on what kinda header you have and other mods installed. Example an ebay header is not gonna get you as much as a research and design header such as greddy or dc. And if have other mods installed it will make more pwer. just a header is not gonna do much at all if any.

As for sound when i installed mine i installed a highflow cat at the same time, and i did notice a change in exhaust tone and mabye a little louder not much.
I didn't really feel difference's at all with my header though :[ i have a dc sports 4-2-1cermerick.
but thats just me. gotta remember i have an automatic so tranny eats most of me power lol.

so if i drop the whole thing that wont help me much. I just have the header not the cat back as well. There is still a hanger to take of for the header to come down isnt there

If i remember, there's a little bracket thing. Just spray it down with wd-40(or other lubricant) and use a ratchet with a pipe over it for leverage if you don't have a breaker bar like surfer suggested. I wouldn't bother taking the top header and a-pipe off separately if you're having difficulty removing it.

All aftermarket header should have the exhaust manifold and a-pipe

Yeah, It's definitely easier to remove that section of the exhaust as an assembly from the bottom.

Take off the bolts bolting the header flange to the engine, and then the bolts connecting the stock 2 piece header to the front of the cat, and then it will slide out the bottom easy... Trust me, we just installed a header on our integra 2 days ago. Ownage! Very noticeable power increase, you'll love it....
