hey i bought some one piece headlights recently and one of them looks great. the other looks kind of yellow. i was reading up about renewing them by using sand paper: (http://forums.g2ic.com/tegtips/lighting/12.html). just wondering if anyone here has some experience using this method? or any other methods i could try? never attempted it before and i dont want to mess anything up!

you could use that. blue magic, 3m stuff. theres alot of methods you could do. autozone has a section on headlight restoration

you could use Mother's Mag and Aluminum polish, or a high grit wet sand paper then buff, maybe even a wax. There are tons and tons of ways to do this. Youtube and Google is your friend.

Keep It Clean
I've never tried 400 grit on headlights and I wouldn't want to. Seems to agresive! If anything start with 1000 grit and go up from there. Then go with red rubbing compound than go with polishing compuound and buff from there. When you're done put a coat of wax

as long as you finish with a high grit and do it in stages, you'll be fine. You have to be very thorough though. Can't miss a spot of it will look bad.

hey thanks everyone for the advice!
i ended up looking it up on youtube. i needed to SEE it being done to really understand lol

i tried it out today.. actually i did this VERY fast because i didnt have much time. im going to try it again tomorrow and take my time.
i tried it on the right side. looks pretty clean. but then again that side wasnt that bad to begin with. hopefully i see some real results when i try it on the left side.
