I have a 99 gs and I am going to remove the spoiler on it here soon. I was just wondering if anyone has any ideas on how i should plug the holes from where the screws were?

I need a fix for now. I dont really want to do any bodywork for awhile, as I just got done spending a bunch of money on the car since it broke a timing belt :x

You should get some small strips of color matched vinyl to lay down over the holes. I have 2 small black circles cut to the size of the larger holes from the GSR wing to hide the holes from my ITR spoiler. Vinyl blends in really well, it shouldn't be very noticeable, and it hasnt leaked on me in the 9 months I've had it on there.

is there a plug you could get at like a home depot or something? I know, not the cleanest, but atleast it'll prevent water getting in.

...the plug I'm referring to is the one I've seen some people use to cover up their antenna on the 3rd gen integras.

Hey nighthawk where did you find the vinyl that you used?
I went to a hobby shop and bought some scraps for a couple dollars. You can find it in hobby shops, places like Pep Boys/AutoZone sometimes have it, sheets are all over eBay, and some fabric stores even carry vinyl.

Plugs are good, but they still leak. You need to seal it up with silicone if you want it to 100% block leaks.

Since he's looking for a temp. solution, I'd really recommend not going this route since the piece installed with silicone will be a bitch to remove if done to make a complete seal. The vinyl solution is cheap and it works.

Thanks for all the info Nighthawk :thumbs up
Not a problem. I'd really recommend checking eBay first. You can get a pretty good sized sheet custom-cut to your choosing with alot of vendors. That way you can snag some extra in case you need it.

you can use some plugs and dynamat from underneath.. works for me.. no leaks.. and the dynamat stays intact.

You might want to try using aluminum rivets with washers on the back side. If they're put on tight enough, they probably won't leak. You can use touch up paint to match your cars color. And they can easily be removed to reinstall the spoiler if you so chose.
