If your totally clueless = not easy.
Not totally clueless = easy.
94-97 Integra LS remote start install difficulty, on a scale of 1(easy) to 10(hard) = 2.5

Oh yeah, I was assuming it was an auto.
That car is one of the easier cars to attempt your first remote start on. All wires are easy to find and get at, firewall is easy to get through, plenty of room to work in and to mount the brain, no key transponder BS, no factory alarm to deal with, no funky door locks that need relays(Ford), resistors(Chrysler) or diodes(my '05 Civic, lol).

First you say your totally clueless, now you know the basics? hehe

It's not an auto? Revised overall difficulty = 3.5

Most shop won't install that starter in a manual car. They'll only do a starter in a manual if the starter is made for manuals, like the Compustar remote starter, for legal/liability issues. Also, most shops won't install it unless they're an Ungo dealer to start with. Shops don't like to install brands of starters that they aern't familiar with, because they don't have their technical support available, different starters have different programming procedures. A simple 1-2 hour job can become an all day hassle when you have to fight with equipment you aern't familiar with.

Actually, if you skip doing the hood pin and feel like pulling out the guage cluster and getting your tach signal from there (which I recommend, its easy), you won't need to go through the firewall for anything.
I don't bother doing hood pins anymore, they just end up getting corroded and failing in a year or so anyway.
