Red Valve Cover.

Hey guys, i havent been here for a while and had a question for ya'll...

what Tegs came with the red valve covers? was it only the type-r, or do gs-r's have it too? im looking to get a 3rd gen teg, and i really want the red valve cover. just wondering if that would be possible to have with a highschool budget. any input would be great! thanks!

lol so you choose a car by its valve cover :p thats the funniest thing i ever heard ;)

you could also by an LS and buy a Type R or GSR aftermarket valvecover in the color you desire;)

only type r came with a red valve cover so thats a pretty stupid and expensive reason to buy a car when you can just get a gsr and get the valve cover somewheres else and put it on your motor

VTEC valve covers don't fit on non-VTEC engines.

Im not buying it for only the valve cover. i just want a red one. if the car came with it then it was a plus, then i wouldnt have to buy one extra and i could save some money on a cosmedic mod. no need to call me stupid over it. Thank you cabezzzdb8 for just answering the question.

We're talking about OEM not OBX rice parts. The Integra Type R and Civic Type R have the red value covers.

yea

its not uncommon to abse your decision of car on what you like about them.. hell i didnt know what my car was called all i knew was that i wanted the car with the circular headlights. I didnt know what vtec was nor gsr but i definatly know now after as many tickets as ive had :twisted:

Me too. When I bought my GSR I didn't know exactly what VTEC was either. All I knew was that it gave GSR's 30 more HP than the non-GSR's and GSR's were fuly loaded, and that's all I needed to know. :)

Well he obviously wants a type aarra, Well let me tell u, i doubt u can afford a type r with a highschool budget. Just get urself a gs-r which cost about half of what the r's cost then get u a red valve cover for it and use the money that ur gonna save to buy some mods. But if u wanna get an R go for it. there is 1 in ebay going for 10g's doubt it will stay at that price. GL on the car man

You maybe got the wrong car =) maybe u wanted the celica heh it has circular lights too but not vtec! woot
