So as some of you may know, i recently bought a rear visor and i want to install it, but i want to install it once the rear wiper is gone. Question: Can i just use the $10 OEM plug with some clear window silicone to seal it? i really dont want to spend $25+ on a wiper delete plug+screw+pivot arm.

I bought a grommet and everything on top of the OEM metal plug. I didn't like the fit with the grommet so I trimmed the stock (wiper in) grommet so the plug would fit flush with the window and just added silicone to it. I used a 10mm bolt I had from removing other things and that was it. All you NEED is silicone and the plug. :thumbs up

This, I trimmed down the old rubber grommet (be careful or you'll get a sliced thumb :( )for it to sit flush and also reused some of the other parts on the inside to make everything screw together. I didn't use silicone but tightened it snug and checked for leaks. My car doesn't go out in the rain anyways.
