rear seat doesn't fold

I tried folding down my rear seats the other day, and the one on the passenger side works fine, but the button for the one on the drivers side is broken, just sitting loose in it's holder. So I'm wondering, is there another way to fold it down? Maybe use a screwdriver on the mechanism in the back?

I ask because I'm trying to take off the rear interior panel so I can pop out a dent, and it looks like I have to fold down the seat to take it out

I'm sure you could get a screwdriver in there to release the lock.
