rear brakes

So I tried replacing the pads on the 87 integra and it didn't go well. I can't turn the adjustment thing on the piston. Now they seem to be leaking too. Is there an easy way to just cap off the rear brake line so it never engages? I know the fronts are the most important but this is a beater car and I need a cheap fix. Thanks for any advice or help.

You can rent a tool at auto zone or one of those places to tighten calipers

Its hard to tell but I think they leak from the piston boot the way it looks. I did get the thing to turn now but I'm not sure it goes in far enough to get new pads in there

Honda didn't just put rear brakes on our cars for shits and giggles. My girlfriend's car has great pads on the front with OEM pads in the rear; under heavy braking, the tail wags like a mother fucker.
