it'll fit. You'll hve a check engine light for Torque converter, but other then that it'll work

yeah, the ecu contols everything on a car. if you're putting it into a 5 speed and the ecu is looking for a torque converter to control it won't be able to find it, so check engine light for the converter not responding.

Am I blind? The ECU from a 97 Integra is OBD2A, where the ecu from a 00 Integra is OBD2B. Which are not interchangable.

I must be missing something.

If they were the same OBD generations, youde run into an issue with a CEL for a lock up control solenoid from the automatic transmission. I know nothing about the internals of an obd2 ecu, but I know that I can convert an automatic obd1 ECU to manual.
