This kid at my school who i used to be good friends thinks he's the shit and he never stops now. He thinks everyone's car sucks but his own (he owns a 3000 gt sl) he also thinks his car is fast as hell and it's not and also calls his car the "honda hunter" I'm getting so sick of this kid and can't wait to race his ass and shut him up in spring. He won the last race against a civic w/ gsr swap because the civic launched w/ his wheels turned :roll: so now he has been talkin down on acuras/hondas ever since. Sorry just had to blow off some steam about him....I HATE THIS KID NOW!!!! o yea i forgot to mention i gave him space to store his car w/ mine over winter...and this is how he's actin now. :evil:

represent!!! 8) man i wish all the good car stuff was going on n more parts of ohio besides just cinci and columbus, all the cool car stuff goes on there.

No offense... but calling yourself the "Honda Hunter" isn't really bragging. We all know most Hondas on the road are slow as shit.

Anyway, his 3000GT SL is still slow too and heavy.

The 3000GT SL was the luxury version of the family. This model was mainly interpreted by the standard options that were not standard or available on the base models. Some examples were the rim size, ECS (Electronically Controlled Suspension), anti-lock brakes, alarm system, sunroof, cruise control, power options, leather, and in the last three years, the engine plus many others.

Sticking through its whole life with a 3.0 L DOHC 24-valve V6 at a 10.0:1 compression ratio, it produced the original 222 hp at 6000 RPM. The torque from 1991 to 1993 was 201 lb-ft. at 4500 RPM and from 1994 to 1999 it was at 205 lb-ft. at 4500 RPM. The MSRP slowly went up from its first year at $25,000 to a $35,000 max in 1996 and continue around the lower 30s. Like the base model, it had a standard 5-speed manual transmission and an optional automatic transmission, both with overdrive. It was front wheel drive with the same independent suspension in front and multi-link in the back as the base model. The wheels consisted of 16” aluminum alloy rims from 1991 to 1996 with the chrome option in 1995 and 1996. From 1997 to 1999, the rims were upgraded to 17” chrome rims. The tires from 1991 to 1996 were 225/55/VR16 and from 1997 to 1999 they were 245/45/ZR17.

The Sl has 222hp on a 3524lb chassis. That makes the power to weight about 15.87. This guy here (clicky and scroll down) says his stock SL ran a 15.4 in the 1/4. Meanwhile, a stock GS-R should have 170hp on a 2665lb chassis and the power to weight is about 15.68. I see the 0-60 is about 7.1 for the G-SR. Couldn't find the 0-60 easily for the SL.
