re-paint my spoiler

i have a 97 ls with the small wing and its faded really bad. i talked to a guy i work with and he will be able to paint it again for $50 if i take it off or $100 if i leave it on. this includes a wetsand, replacing the paint, and adding a clear coat. all i have to do is supply the colored paint (he gets a discount at a shop) and take it off my car. he will have it back to me within a few hours if he does not have work. (i dont know much about painting cars)

he went to school for painting and he does quality work (ive seen a few of the things he has painted)

so is this a good deal? yes or no

If it's quality work, $50 is nothing. I'd do it. How is the rest of the paint on the car? If it's beat as well, a fresh coat of paint on the spoiler by itself might make the rest of the paint more pronouced if it's damaged. That's something to consider.

the paint on the rest of the car is great, just some minor scratches form 14 years of being around but has no other fade or sun damage. ill take a pic before and after, ill probably do it after i get my tax returns

ill use a quote from him after he looked at my spoiler for the first time "the sun baked the fuck outta yo spoiler man"

yeah if its the only thing faded, have him do it then. not too bad of a price, just make sure the bolts dont brake off when u take the spoiler off mine did but i didnt care took the spoiler off permanently.

Or you could always just buy a spoiler that's already painted. I had one from my '95 that was in great condition. It was green, too. lol I just recently threw it away when I moved, though. Or at least I think I did.

thats a tough one, im going off of the color of my integra type r in gran tourismo2 and saying its cypress pearl green. its dark green with the small flakes in it, ill post the color code tomorrow
