I tried searching and couldn't find any info and don't wanna search all day....
Im gonna pick up this AEM CAI and Im wondering if my ABS unit and brakelines are gonna get in the way of it. Im thinking this because theres that cut out in that region of the engine bay and ive seen people route their CAI into that hole which I assume is purposely there for CAI use. But my friends who have that done have completely gutted engine bays with no ABS. I havent gotten ahold of those buddys of mine since they are workin rite now so I was wondering what kind of insight one of you veterans on CI have on this. Thanks!

if you buy the unit specifically made for your car and motor, you'll be fine.

x2 make sure its the specific one for your car, this guuy was about to sell me a sri for my integra and it was made for civics with B series swaps in them...so make sure you get one for your car

If you buy an AEM CAI for any DC, Im almost positive that it goes on the inner side of your frame rail and turns right to the outside towards the fender.

Only difference is GSR since it has a lower intake manifold.

Im gonna purchase a skunk 2 IM to install when I swap my type R cams in..... You think I can still use the same CAI?

If you use the skunk2 intake manifold, you can use a LS intake. If you are going to keep the GSR intake manifold then youll need an intake for a GSR.

Im only assuming youre driving a GSR since youre asking about Type R cams.

in my experience, after market intake manifolds take up more of the pipe of the intake. the type R in our group had a skunk2 intake mani and the bolt which connects to the chassis on the intake was nowhere close to where it was supposed to be bolted

The Skunk2 intake manifold is to ITR spec, unless its a Pro series. Im not saying youre wrong because I dont use the intake brace. Im just stating that the throttle body position is right where the OEM ITR throttle body is. Ive got a Skunk intake on my car, and its in the same position as the OEM ITR intake manifold.

Yea i got a bone stock GSR except for the type r header and 2 1/4 exhaust. I got the cams and the AEM CAI not installed yet and I want an IM real bad. Im gonna get one soon, times are a lil tough though.

Man i just bought the Skunk 2 IM and installed it and i love it. I paid $200 for it brand new, good deal? I could really feel a difference and i believe that my type r header is actually helping me out alot more now that i have the manifold on. The only thing is that I cant put my stock strut bar back on. The top of the manifold restricts it so im just cruising without the strut bar for now.

Anyone have any suggestions about a strut bar i can use and where i can purchase it and how much??
