quick release question

if i were to get a quick release steering wheel would it affect my insurance since im removing the airbag??

Not unless you tell them... it's illegal to remove the airbag from a car that was built with one, so I wouldn't advise telling your insurance.

Keep in mind your going to either have to reinstall everything for inspection...or pending how your steering wheel looks (some Momo ones "look" like they have an airbag - GT2,etc) you'll have to create a relay that'll allow your SRS light to blink and shut off. Its an auto fail if its visibly aftermarket and the SRS light stays on.
