Quick Question..

Ok so I got a turboed LS complete greddy 18g kit its all BONE stock internally. Well a friend of mine gave me his old JG 301 Camshafts and JG camgears I was wondering if I were to throw them on would it mess up anything?? Getting a tune very soon and was thinking about port and polishing the head..

I've never heard of those cams.

It would absolutely mess something up if the motor isn't tuned for those cams. Get a tune asap, and also look at the actual specs of those cams before you put them on

Might recomend valve sprngs for them

skip it. use the money you would pay for a pnp and upgrade the turbo system. like the turbo itself or fatter dp / exhaust. will yield you more power per $.

Ls and B20's respond very well to cams on boost. But to answer the question. You would no question about it need a tune also most cams need upgraded valvetrain also.

Im pretty sure JG 301's are mild enough not to require upgraded valvetrain.

Yea i remember hearing something about the Jg cams being reginds but im not for sure.
