Quick question about a 90 teg

I'm about to purchase a 1990 teg with a completed swap, it's a b18b1 with a 98 type r head, ys1 cable trans. since I'm new to integras ( I'm a mitsu guy) he's only asking $550.00 for the whole car, interior need some work, would that be a good price? Thanks in advance for any replies

Sure...y not...if the car turns out to b junk worst case sell it for parts and easily triple your money

the head is might even be worth that much money, I know the whole type-r block goes for a couple grand, depending on condition.

At that price I'd be sketched out. Even a shell with a blown swap will fetch 1-2k. You'll be fine, even if it's blown or dead just part it out and get some cash on top again.

Oh forgot to mention, the car runs great, the only problems that he told me about were sometimes when it's hot out it's harder to crank, and that the engine light flashes. He just wants to sell it because it's just sitting there

Hmm possible headgasket issues. Timing or something, could be a lot, still a decent deal even if you sell the parts.

Update after purchase

Ok, it is a b18b1 w/type r head, dc sport headers, aem CAI, msd ignition w/nology wires, skunk2 valves w/3 deg job, p&p, skunk2 lowering springs, the p28 ecu was chipped with a mugen one by asaa, full hks exhaust, apexi vtec controller( which I took out).Km/h gage cluster. some type of aftermarket pressure plate. All for $550. The cranking problem that I mentioned was due to one of the plug wires, will need to replace.
Just need power steering, and possible a/c

Any input would be greatly appreciated
