questions on turbo

so ive decided i want to go turbo. i know greddy and edelbrock might make the only smog legal ones for california because thats where i live. I was doing research on the edelbrock and it says for 99-2000 it only has a kit for the GS-R. my question is will this fit my non vtec gs?

the intercooler piping will be a little different becuase of the manifold on the gsr but i would guess that it would fit...dont quote me on this though...i would call edelbrock...and by the way their kits are awesome...they come with the gt28rs turbo...great starting turbo...prolly the best one that is offered in any kit

i disagree with that completely, but it is a decent turbo. you can get all kinds of upgrades on the turbo in kits. if you wanted to say its the best turbo that come in the SMOG legal turbo kits i might agree since its only competition is the greddy 18g

that and the ecu is tuned for a vtec motor. he would have to get it retuned, and then it wouldnt be smog legal. unless he dropped some serious coinage on the new expensive hondata s300 for obd2b cars. and even then it MIGHT pass

yea patrick...on a smog legal kit that turbo is the best...thats what i meant

if i went turbo i would definately put my money towards the s300 to get it tuned. mine as well use the best. I'm not too worried about passing smog either as long s the kit is legal, I can probably go to richmond and pay someone shady to hook it up to a diff. car thats stock and say its mine or some shit
