Question on Removing Stuck on road dirt

So I removed this A&M badge that was on the rear of the car when I got it, and now there is like this outline of it of like a black ring and will NOT come off. Any suggestions on removing it?

3M adhesive remover... its a citrus based adhesive remover that works wonders

Down side is is that its about 180 bucks for a can......
