Question about removing road tar...

Hey guys,
So, I have a white 2004 RSX. It's still in great shape, but the paint needs a little love.
Upon close inspection, you can see a lot of what appears to be black road tar marred into the paint.
I'm wondering if anyone knows the best method of removing this, as it's all over the car.
I need to restore the finish to super shiny!
Clay bar? Some kind of cleaner? Ideas would be awesome.
Thanks a bunch in advance.

Cool, I may go ahead and pick up a clay bar and give it a whirl.
You have to wax after using those, right? I've never done it before. Won't it leave the finish dull?

As for WD40, wouldn't that damage the clear coat?

For the clay bar you wash, clay, then wax your car. The clay bar acts as a "primer" in a way to remove imperfections from the paint before waxing.

use the tar remover first when you're washing, then clay the car, helps if it's still wet, then wax that mofo.

get it looking proper mang.

Keep in mind to be really careful with the claybar if you have any kind of road tar on your vehicle. Keep kneading the clay so you don't scratch your clearcoat.

Awesome, thanks so much for the tips!
If I'm feeling up to the challenge, I may give this a try this weekend.
Of course, it's brutally hot right now, so it may have to wait another few weeks.

any thing oil based would take it off

wash, wet sand, 3 stage buff+ 3 wash, high speed polish, waxs, wash, speed shine, ect done
