New to this forum, just got this whip. what should i be moding first. Appearance doesnt interest me. My car is already lookin clean why change the body. I NEED ANY ADVICE I CAN GET< please hit me up with any opinions. thanx guys. pe@ce

Congrats on the teg, and welcome to CI.

Usually the first mods are Intake, header, exhaust. There have been a couple threads recently about different intakes, so those should help you choose the right one.

welcome to CI, everybody here is extremely friendly, none of that bullshit =) thats why i'm on here instead of on other forums. well personally if u dont want to work on the looks, and want speed, ur prolly the sleeper type... yea the basic I/H/E is the first thing ppl do.. i guess thats wat u should do also

are you looking for a cold air set-up or short ram?
AEM is the most popular making carb legal cold air and short ram systems
Injen technology as well

but there are companies that make replicas that pull just about as much HP as the popular names

i'd go with CompTech USA for the intake...my friend has it in his Type R, it has a box for the cone filter and it looks like a stock, it looks hella sick..he said CompTech USA is awesome and better than AEM..

comptech's design is a lil better than AEM as far as the chance of hydro-lock, plus you can run it as a cold-air set-up leaving the filter up top away from the elements, But AEM still pulls more power

nah we're not argueing...does it look like we are? i think not...we're just expressing our own opinions about an intake for this new owner of the LS...CHILD is just telling the pros and cons of comptech and AEM so yea...but iono i just like how comptech looks like with the box that makes it look stock and hydro lock...AEM is cool but i perfer comptech...IMO
