So My buddy buys this 91 prelude si aws and took the old radio out and put his after market radio in then like 15mins later the battery light comes on and what not so i tested the battery but it was good so i tested the alt and the voltage reg failed. so we bought a new one and put it in and bam again battery light test it again voltage reg failed. so one last time took the radio out and drove it for about an hour and bam again voltage reg is somehow being shorted out but how? please help!

Rewire the radio harness and don't leave any extra wires laying around. Put electrical tape around where the wires are combined. Make sure wires aren't touching any metal.

its only gay if the balls touch... although i dont know the ruling on the use of electrical tape

I don't even know why, but I put electrical tape on eveything.
