Problem

Well I got a day pass in BC and took my Teg out for a rip.
While I was driving, I passed over a speed bump, forgot the rule of lowered car, SLOWLY OVER THE BUMPS!!
Well I punched a hole in the tank, but didn't notice at the time (was having fun driving) Discovered it when I got home after the car was towed and the garage stunk like unused gas.
Then between Pitt Meadows and Po Co the lights on my dash got REAL dim, i kinda wondered wtf was going on, but then noticed I was slowing down and the engine started lugging as well as the battery lights came on. When I pulled over to the shoulder of the road, the car power just CUTS OUT.
Well I took a look at the engine, everything looks fine and when I went over the battery because of the light, the positive wires were lose to the clamp, I thought would that be the problem? So i tried to tighten the connection as best as I could. Got a jump from a nice guy who stopped for me, and started the car right up, and he left. I sat there to power up the car and see if that was the problem, not the alternator...well the dashboard was still dim so I turned on the lights and walked around the car, the front and rear lights were DIM as F**K...then it died again. I called in a flatdeck truck and when he was going over the engine and battery, he said it's either the terminal connection (positive) or the alternator....does anyone have an idea what might be the problem or is this correct?
Also has anyone experienced this as well?
I drive an 90's Teg.

altenator. jump the car again and take off the negative terminal to the battery. if it dies right then its the altenator if not something else is wrong

Ok, well do you know how to fix a punctured gas tank?

the only right way to fix it is to replace it. anything else would only be a temporary fix if it fixes it at all

Aw damnit..Ok, I guess it's off to the wreck yard to find a decent tank. Alternator can be bought sparking brand new.
