problem adjusting valves 90

whats up everyone. ive got a 90 integra ls. i adjusted the valves and now the car runs like shit when it gets started. i adjusted to the haynes manual. everything seemed fine when i was doing it. it ran when i first adjusted.then i cut it off and readjusted now it wont start. i did turn the motor the wrong way when setting TDC could this mess anything up?

You are supposed to a valve lash adjustment with the engine cold.

It should not make a difference what way you turned the motor to get to TDC as long as your camshafts and your crankshafts are on the marks. It is advised you turn the crankshaft clockwise so you don't unthread the bolt while trying to turn the motor over.
