Prepping for paint...?

Looked around on here a little, and tried to google it.
I want first hand experiences by people with Integras as far as paint prepping goes.
I have a Milano...Pink Teg. Looking for pretty precise directions as to what grit wet/dry sandpaper to start, and what grit to end, and obviously, hit all inbetween.

So, without further ado, I'd greatly appreciate it if I could score some help.
inb4 the rants; I google searched.

Its impossible to tell you exactly what to use without seeing what the condition of the paint is. Deep scratches will take more work and a different grit than if you are just scuffing and painting. Also what kind of equipment do you have, are you hand sanding everything or using a DA sander? Are you fixing any dents or doing any other repairs to it? Are you going to prime or seal the car before painting or just paint over the exsisting paint. The best general answer I can give you is for a scuff and paint I would start with 320 sand the entire car and then wet sand with 400 and paint. As you will find there are other ways to do it not everyone will agree with what I have suggested so take everyones advice and then do it like you want.

I wouldn't paint over a surface that has only been hit with 400 grit. I would prime over 400 grit with a filling primer, then sand that down with 600 before putting on the base/clear. After the car is painted and you're ready to wetsand/buff it start wih 1500 and work your way up to atleast 2k grit, some people go beyond that but the paper gets stuipd expensive.

When you buff the car make sure you use a buffer that has variable speed so you don't burn through the paint
