Power Wire - Constant / Key On

So I noticed my cigarette lighter is only powered with key on. I don't like that because I leave my Mp3 in my car 24/7 with it on a charger.

Can I take the memory wire from the radio and splice the cigarette lighter into it, so that the lighter spot has power all the time. The radio wires looked small so i'm not sure.

And with that plan, I could use the cigarette lighter's original wire to power other things when the car turns on. (Under dash lights, disco ball, who knows?)

There are spots in the fuse box to tap into a constant power source, just need a female spade connector.

Definitely do not use your radio's power. You'll overload that circuit and that's the same circuit as your ECU memory.

Use #2 in the diagram. There's nothing else on that circuit. You'll need to insert a fuse into slot 13. Use a 10A and use 16 gauge wire.
