polishing valve cover

How do you polish the valve cover? I've got it painted, and sanded the paint off the Honda Motor Co. rise out. but now I dont know what to do next to keep that area from rusting etc.

Just clear coat it. You could apply it with a brush that should work.

I always thought applying clearcoat to a polished metal causes it to become hazy.

maybe just sand it down with some really high sand paper and maybe use some metal polish, mothers makes some good shit.

i used a polsihing wheel, ( which is pretty much a wire brush that spins) on my "honda" logo.
