Picked up a new TB

The other day while searching craigslist I cam across the deal of a century on a Skunk2 70mm tb. Now before I have a bunch of homo's post up here that I'm going to lose a whole lot of power, or I wasted my money, this was too good of a deal to turn up. Not to mention, this will go good with my current setup. Anyway, I'll post some better pics this weekend, after I remount a few odds and ends and do a little engine bay cleaning. By the way, the inlet on this thing is big enough to make John Holmes feel like a 2nd grader.

Looks Good Bro. Dont Worry What The Others Say About The 70mm Tb. I Have The Skunk2 70mm Tb And The Skunk2 Pro Series Intake Manifold And Skunk2 Mega Power Exhaust With A Dc Race Header On My 2000 Gsr. I Went And Got The Intake Manifold Bored Out To 70mm To Match The Tb. And To Me It Works Great.

Well you'll gain top end but you'll lose practically all throttle response. Still I guess if you got a good deal on it cool.

$100. It was cheaper than having the itr throttle body bored out (at most they could go was 68mm).

whoever told you they could bore out a stock tb to 68mm is crazy. You really shouldn't even bore them out and if you can I think 62mm on the 60mm stock tb is max.

had mine bored to 68:D at least thatswhat they told me

I didn't have a stock tb. I had an itr tb-I think they are around 62mm. I think 1 company that does it is max bore.

Yeah, the butterfly plate has to be replaced. My biggest fear with having one bored out would be that the walls would be a lot weaker.
