PCV Valve / Black Box Hose Routing

i have a '93 GS I need some questions answered concerning the PCV valve/black box under the intake manifold.

So one of the holes has a PCV valve in it, and the hose travels up through the hole in the intake manifold then plugs into it on top. Correct? The other hole has a hose leading straight to the block. Is that right?

Also, on my girlfriend's '01 Integra LS she doesn't have the black box at all. I read that after a certain year (98 I think..) they didn't have them, or at least didn't need them. Well does she have a gaping hole in the block? If it does not have a plug should I plug it or put a box on it?

Thanks! :)

It sounds like you have the routing right. These PCV canisters were only on certain year and model honda/acuras. There definitely would not be a hole on the back of the block on an 2001, it would either not have anything or a plug possibly, not sure on that one really, I would guess there is just nothing. If there was just a hole there your engine would surely lock up and lose all its oil rather quickly. Worth noting that later models like that had higher crankcase pressures and can benefit greatly from a catch can setup. Especially if you have a GSR that doesn't have one or Civic Si 99-00. If this doesn't answer your questions, let me know I know a decent amount about these setups on these engines.

I'm not sure. Why would you block it off anyways?

^^ I Googled "PCV Black Box Block Off Plate Integra" and this thread was #1 lol.
