PBR/Axxis vs AEM

I ordered a set of front AEM Performance brake pads from 2kracing.com. That was a week ago so I sent them an email about it. This is what they said:

"Your product is out of stock, however we do have other pads like the PBR /
Axxis Ultimate Ceramic in stock of better quality starting at $79.00."

The AEM pads I got were $81. Is this guy telling the truth that the PBR/Axxis Ultimate Ceramic pads are better quality? I can't find them on their website, not even the brand name.

Axxis Ultimate's are much better. Ive run them for years. They are comparable to the Hawk HP's, both VERY good street pads.

Axxis pads are way better than AEM.

I'm currently running Project Mu HC+ pads. They are probably one of the best performance street pads you can buy. The closest you can get to a racing pad. :thumbs up

I don't see the point to why people run race compound pads or r compound tires on their street car. You will hardly get them up to temperature to even perform to the level of a good street pad. People are stupid.

True. I have some track buddies that DD with R888s. Lol!

daily driving with any r compound tires is stupid. You don't get them up to temperature, your wasting money because you'll hardly get any miles from them, and most people don't even have a good enough suspension to keep up with them.

Same goes for brake pads, race compound pads have such a high operating temperature that they won't stop for shit when cold. Now you have some retards running around with race pads thinking they can stop on a dime and they rear-end some one because their pads aren't at the right temp.

I can go on and on, like with suspension setups, lets buy springs with rates so high that our car bounces around the street and we're going around turns on two wheels. I'm not a physics major but I do know that a car is going to have the most grip when all four wheels are on the ground.

I agree

I've been running R-Comp pads and tires on the GSX for a long time. I use it on the street and track though and don't daily drive it. I think it is fairly dumb to daily drive on some of that stuff. Even coming from the fact that I used to daily drive on Pirelli P-Zero Corsas. Now the furthest I go with my daily is Hawk HPS and Azenis RT615. They are just high performance street products

Yeah I will be running Hawk HPS and probably brembo rotors (nothing to fancy for rotors) when I change all of that out.

Thank you all so much. You've been very helpful. I went ahead and ordered the Hawk pads from AutoEverything. You guys saved me a bit of scratch! :)
