Passing inspection?

I am on the verge of going turbo with my ls, but I have been spending the last couple months making sure I know what I am doing before spending a bunch of money. One of my last questions is how do you pass inspection with obd-2 when your car is turbo, because I know in New York shops connect directly to the ecu, so its not just a spot inspection(brakes, lights working, etc) like with obd-1/obd-0. I know with hondata, you have to convert to obd-1, so I am assuming that is one way. Any comments would be great. THanks

you are right that is a problem. if your car is 0bd2 and you convert, you will fail. however you could always get a street legal kit like greddy and pass. another idea take out the hondata put your Obd2 ecu back in and run an fmu.

i got lucky, my car was too low so they gave me a 2 year waiver. no emissions or inspection testing for me.
