passenger side carpet

i'm trying to view the computer to get the code for the engine light. the carpet is stapled down with a button or something, with three small holes. do i need a special tool for that? how do i get the carpet up without ruining it??

Trim Popper. Or like a screwdriver, just be careful. If u are pulling the code You just Need to pop off the kick panel and use a jumper pin tho.

x2 you just need the diagnostic port under the kickpannel and a wire or paperclip.
