parasitic draw??

Hey guys,

I have a quick question, is having a .45 amp draw to high on "sleeping" car? There are two amps (one for sub and other for front/rear speakers) and aftermarket deck and alarm system. I'm asking since lately my car battery seems to be dying. I want to make sure to rule out everything before I buy a new battery. Starter/alternator have both been replaced within the last month. Battery is 6 month year old optima red top. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Mahalo!

Check out this video, it's a little legnthy, but it'll answer your question and alot more:

When I was told by a garage that I needed a new alternator in my '05 Civic, I wanted to rule out a parasitic draw first. I learned how to test for one from this video. Turns out I did have a draw, I can't remember how much it was, but I found the source, bought a new Yellow top, and all's been fine since - didn't need a new alternator.
