Painting question

Did any one ever tried painting polyurathane before? I wanted to get a SIR-G lip and paint it, but i'm scared that the color will be way off compared to the rest of the car. What do you guys think?

About painting. I have a milano red teg and i went to a paint shop, im getting a lip as well, and the guy told me milano red is a tri-color paint. so it takes a base mid-layer and clear. But a friend told me they sell an additive to the paint which makes it flex so it wont crack

I believe what you want is a 2-stage paint. You could get it as a 1-stage but it's harder to match. You should be able to go to a paint shop and tell them you want the red with the flex additive already in. Then just get clearcoat layer.
