painting brake calipers

can i paint my calipers while theyre on the rotor? just tape off everything else?

or do i gotta take it all off?

I painted mine red. I used an old bed sheet to cover EVERYTHING besides the calipers.

I used 500° engine paint, bought at autozone

I painted my 300zx's calipers when i was working on it. I used the stuff you can get from autozone/checker that was like $16 I turned out to be a can of paint and a brush not spray so i didnt have to mask all over. they turned out really nice and still look good even with the car sitting for over a year.

mine were pulled off and got every inch of it painted, but masking would work too.. lol

I painted my calipers red, hated them because they are tiny, and then painted them black.

i painted mine with a brush.... so far its holding up nicely (did it last december)
